This edition is  accompanied by an extensive study by Prof. Miran Košuta, which reveals the creative, innovative and revolutionary life of Srečko Kosovel to Italian poetry lovers. In this new edition, Prof. Košuta also took care of a thorough review of the transcription of the poems in the original and harmonised it with the texts from the Collected Work, published by Anton Ocvirk in 1964–1977, from which the translator Jolka Milič drew all the poems published in the original collection.

Srečko Kosovel was a Slovene avant-garde poet.
Since the 1960s, Kosovel has become a poetic icon, in the league of France Prešeren and Edvard Kocbek. He produced an impressive body of work of more than 1000 poems with a quality regarded as unusually high for his age. Most of his works were published almost four decades after his early death.
